Program Assessment Data

In compliance with the policies of the University of Montevallo and the accreditation standards of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the Social Work Program conducts yearly program assessments.  These data verify the Program’s curriculum or suggest needed changes.  As part of our assessment, we measure and report student learning outcomes based on the core competencies that comprise the CSWE’s accreditation standards.  These competencies are dimensions of social work practice that social workers are expected to master during their professional training.  For a complete listing of the Program’s core competencies, please see the Program’s Student Handbook.

The Council on Social Work Education requires individual programs to report the most recent assessment outcomes to constituents and the public via the program’s website.  A summary of the Program’s most recent assessment may be found here: University of Montevallo Assessment Plan.
