Dr. Karolyn Morgan received her B.S. in mathematics from Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., her M.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and her Ph.D in applied mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley with a concentration in numerical analysis.
Dr. Morgan joined the Department of Mathematics and Physics at Montevallo in January 1995. Courses she has taught at Montevallo include College Algebra, PreCalculus Algebra and Trigonometry, Finite Mathematics, and Calculus. She is an active member of the Black Heritage Committee and the Teachers Education Committee.
Before coming to Montevallo, Dr. Morgan was a research engineer for several years at the Lockheed Missile & Space Co. in Sunnyvale, Calif.
