Dr. Michael F. Patton received his BA from Vanderbilt and his MA and PhD in Philosophy from Syracuse University.
He recently published The Cartoon Introduction to Philosophy, illustrated by artist Kevin Cannon. So far, it has been translated into Portuguese, Czech, French, Japanese, Vietnamese, Polish, Korean, Russian, Chinese, Greek, Spanish, Complex Chinese (Taiwan) and Ukrainian.
His philosophical interests include metaphysics, ontology, logic, the philosophy of math and the philosophy of science. He regularly team teaches interdisciplinary courses such as Honors Astronomy, taught with Dr. Michael Sterner.
