Brian Motii

Dr. Motii is currently associate professor of Economics in the Stephens College of Business at the University of Montevallo. He currently teaches Business Statistics, & Principles of Economics in the undergraduate program and Managerial Economics in the MBA program. He started his teaching career at the University of Montevallo with several years of graduate teaching experience. Prior to his teaching career Dr. Motii served for three years as Senior Economist at the Center for Economic and Management Research at the University of Oklahoma. He had also served for another three years as a senior economist at the Florida Economic Development Center, where he conducted research and business planning and financial feasibility studies. In addition, he served for 5 years as a development banker in the investment and planning department of the Bank of Exports in Iran. Dr. Motii has an MBA from Oklahoma City University, a Master of Science in Economics from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in economics from University of Oklahoma with a concentration in regional economics. His primary research interests are in the areas of regional economics, and Economic Impact analysis. Dr. Motii is active in scholarly pursuits with many academic presentations and publications during the past fifteen years. Dr. Motii’s research has been published in Review of Regional Science, International Journal of Business Research, Pennsylvania Economic Review, Insights to a Changing World, and Global Education.
