Kristi Carter joined the Department of Theatre in 2016 as the Administrative Assistant. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work with a Sociology minor from the University of Montevallo in 1995 and obtained her licensure as a Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW). During her social work career, she helped and advocated for children and families in the following areas; juvenile delinquency/substance abuse, healthcare and child welfare. Her compassion, empathy and ability to connect with others offer a unique and empowering perspective to the Theatre Department.
Kristi has family roots locally and often spent her childhood summers here in Montevallo. However; she grew up in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and is a proud Appalachian. She loves flower gardening, camping, kayaking, waterfalls, being a mother to her 2 daughters, Emily and Callyn.
