Music Majors

Music Scholarships

The Department of Music is fortunate to have substantial scholarship funding available to assist music majors (and non-majors who play/sing in our ensembles) with their college expenses.

  • Most scholarships are talent-based and are awarded to those who have been accepted into a music degree program.
  • All potential music majors must audition for acceptance into a degree program in music.
  • Transfer students are also eligible for music scholarships.
  • Scholarship amounts vary, and scholarships may be renewable.
  • Music scholarships may be combined with academic scholarships, so long as the total award does not exceed the cost of attending the University.
  • A limited amount of funding is available to talented non-majors.
  • Details are posted on the Department of Music auditions page
