Using the Career Development Center as a Resource

Advisors should consider referring students to the Career Development Center (CDC)! Counselors in the CDC are licensed professionals who can assist students in various ways:

  • Academic and career support
  • Decision making
  • Understanding motivation
  • Goal setting
  • Creating plans to reach goals
  • Personality assessments
  • Career assessments
  • Resumes and cover letters
  • Employment search planning
  • Graduate or professional school planning
  • Professional interview preparation

CDC professionals also work collaboratively with the Falcon Success Center, Learning Enrichment Center, Counseling Services, and Health Services to best meet the needs of Montevallo students.
